The unmistakable profile of its famous towers and large defensive walls make San Gimignano a unique and extraordinary place

San Gimignano, a small fortified town halfway between Florence and Siena, is famous for its architecture and beautiful medieval towers that make the town's profile truly unique.

In its most prosperous period, the wealthy families of San Gimignano came to build as many as 72 towers as a symbol of their wealth and power. Of these, 14 remain today, adding to the town''s fascinating atmosphere.
